A multidisciplinary graphic artist working in storytelling, design and moving image. Currently working on Heaven Is An Afterparty, in collaboration with LA-based writer Joel Newman.
My research explores the history of cartooning and visual storytelling, with a focus on anthropomorphism and the use of iconography in character design and world-building. This work culminated in an academic paper analysing the evolution of the "talking animal," specifically through Art Spiegelman’s Maus and the semiotics of Scott McCloud's cartooning.
Day to day, I work as a Design Specialist Technician at the London College of Communication, UAL, where I teach creative software including Procreate and Adobe Illustrator. From 2021-2024 I was an Associate Lecturer at the School of Art, Architecture & Design, London Metropolitan University, leading modules on technical skills, design principles, and storytelling techniques for both MA and BA Visual Communication students.
In addition, I am the Art Director and co-founder of Crocodile Collective London, where we’ve delivered notable releases such as Happiest Girl in the Universe by Amy Studt, a Rough Trade best-seller.
